By seamlessly replacing the familiar wired
SPI serial interface, the Wi.M family makes going wireless simple.
Made up of two platforms of radio-only modules in 868MHz and
915MHz frequencies, the Wi.M modules are flexible radio
solutions designed to simplify the integration of RF in most
applications with any host microcontroller.
Wi.MX
The Wi.MX family of radio only embedded modules feature the
Semtech XE1203F transceiver chip and are offered in two ISM
band modules: Wi.M900X-R (902-928MHz for North America), Wi.M868X-R
(868-870MHz for Europe). The modules are capable of RF sensitivity
down to -112dB and data rates up to 152.34kbps. These modules
are optimized for transceiver operation and can easily be paired
with the Wi.MT transmitter radio modules. These modules are
capable of meeting the Digital Transmission System (DTS) rules
for wide-band operation and increased output power without spreading
techniques. |
The outstanding range performance, coupled with
a powerful feature set and low power consumption, make this
compelling selection for short, medium to long range applications.
The Wi.MX is also footprint compatible with the Wi.DTS and Wi.25
family of transparent UART products and can be used to costreduce
applications as volumes increase. Customers can begin with complete
radio module with microcontroller on board and then easily transition
to a radio only version with protocol on board their host microcontroller.
The modules use a simple SPI interface to any host microcontroller.
